FIFA World Cup 2018: Virat Kohli’s wishes worked for the football team of England!

Virat Kohli is nothing less than a celebrity in India and I would say one of the most popular celebrity. From Bollywood to Hollywood he is friends with everyone, aggressive on the field but friendly otherwise. His versatility can be screen during the matches when he is raining sixes around the stadium and when he is modeling, acting and endorsing. Also, it seems like Virat has a knack for playing football and is an avid follower of the sport.

Recently, in one of his tweets, the captain of the cricket team wished luck to England’s football team captain- Harry Kane and said “Wishing you a successful World Cup campaign @HKane!#WorldCupRussia2018 #HarryCan”.

However, the wishes and prayers of many, including Virat, worked for the England football team. Kane scored two goals as England beat Tunisia 2-1 in their opening encounter. It was a World Cup debut to remember for the England captain. The match was as thrilling as one can imagine because, after the break, England struggled to maintain the intensity of the opening period and Tunisia looked more comfortable as they contained their opponents’ attack until Kane’s winner.

After their rough but victorious encounter with Tunisia, the captain of the winning team replied to Virat’s tweet,” Thanks Virat, not a bad start”. these two gentlemen here portray the true meaning of sportsmanship and prove that the world can be united through sports.
